This site has been created to provide a form of guidance for pre-service and in-service teachers to work with stage 3 students to support and maximise learning through an excursion to Parramatta Old Government House. This site addresses the exact strand being focused on, what resources can be used to support learning and two examples of experiences that could be used in the classroom. All stage 3 students learn about the Australian Colonies and excursions such as this have been proven to better allow students to learn through hands-on, first person experiences and in-depth discussions.
